Project Value:
$15,000,000
Overview:
On March 10, 2010, an electrical fire occurred in Wachovia’s bank branch, destroying the glorious Italian marble lined walls and elaborate gold leaf ceilings.
SSH Management was challenged with the job of restoring a historic 1920’s bank branch to its pre-loss condition.
Value Added:
SSH Management assembled a team of experts from throughout the country. These experts had the task of cleaning and polishing the marble, repainting and gilding the ceiling, re-fabricating 1920’s Art Deco brass light fixtures and reconstruction gold gilding stain glass windows. SSH Management chose not to utilize an adjuster to manage this claim. Instead, they used their skills to negotiate with vendors and the insurance carrier to bring this project to closure.
During the project it was necessary to maintain an operating bank branch. This was accomplished with success by the installation of a scaffold system that protected guests while allowing contractors to work.
Negative pressure air movement machines were installed so there would be no irritating odors while the work was being performed.
Result:
SSH Management was able to manage one of the largest historical restoration projects in the country for 2010, while maintaining a strong positive relationship with their tenants. This is just another testament of our capability to handle any complex project that comes our way.
