J.G. Petrucci Co. Completes Sale of Two Lots to Army National Guard
ASBURY--J.G. Petrucci Co., Inc. (JGPCO), one of the region’s most respected development and design/build organizations, has completed the sale of two lots at Forks Business Center in Forks Township, Pennsylvania to the Army National Guard (ARNG).
The two lots total 7.66 acres and will be the site of a new recruitment and training center for the standing army and will also house vehicle storage and maintenance space. ARNG will be relocating from its present Bethlehem facility as part of the Base Realignment and Consolidation Commission. The Army National Guard was represented by John Susanin of SSH Real Estate Co. of Radnor, PA.
ARNG’s search was Lehigh Valley-wide, from Route 100 to the Delaware River and dozens of sites were involved. The Forks Business Center location was selected because it is a fully improved park with the infrastructure ARNG was seeking, in addition to which, JGPCO was able to meet their aggressive 2010 timeline. Other factors were Forks Business Center’s close proximity to the Pennsylvania Striker Brigade and easy access to major highways, such as Route 33, Route 22 and Interstate 78.
Fourteen lots totaling approximately 55 acres remain available at the 124-acre park, which is conveniently located just north of Easton, Pennsylvania. Other tenants at Forks Business Center include Weyerhaeuser Co. and Henningsen Cold Storage. Corporate neighbors comprise such well known firms as Crayola, Georgia-Pacific, ProBuild and Tioga Pipe, among others.
